Who we build for
Physician groups and private practices — primary care, specialty, and multi-provider clinics that have outgrown leased space and want a building of their own.
Dentists — general dentistry, orthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric practices, from single-doctor offices to multi-operatory clinics.
Specialty clinics — vision and eye care, physical therapy, imaging, and other outpatient practices with equipment-driven layouts.
Built for clinical work
A clinical building is not an office with exam rooms added. Operatories and exam rooms need plumbing roughed in at the slab, before concrete is placed. Imaging needs electrical capacity and, in some practices, shielding coordinated with the equipment vendor. Sterilization, lab, and clean-utility spaces have their own workflow and inspection expectations. Medical gas, where a practice requires it, is planned from the first drawing — not discovered during framing. We coordinate these requirements with your architect and equipment suppliers during design, and we build to the accessibility standards that apply to Texas healthcare facilities, with your design team and the local authority confirming the specifics for your project.
How a project runs
Most of our clinical projects follow the same arc: site and design decisions first, permitting with your city, then sitework, foundation, structure, envelope, and interior build-out in sequence. Owners who want the detailed picture can read our guides on planning a ground-up medical office and how long a build typically takes — or talk it through with us directly. One accountable builder runs the whole sequence: when you call VMX, you talk to the owner.
Questions we hear
How long does a ground-up office take? Plan on roughly 14 to 24 months from the start of design to opening day for a single-story clinical building, with construction itself typically 8 to 12 months. Our timeline guide breaks it down phase by phase.
Do you build dental offices? Yes — dental is a core part of our clinical work, including operatory plumbing, sterilization layout, and imaging coordination.
Ground-up or build-out — which is right for us? If you own or are buying the site and plan to stay long-term, ground-up usually wins on control and long-term cost. Our comparison guide walks through the trade-offs.
Where do you build? We are based in New Braunfels and build across Texas — San Antonio, Austin, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, and statewide.
