Our most recent ground-up build Aesthetics + Wellness in New Braunfels, went from groundbreaking to keys in ten months — a full aesthetics and wellness facility with treatment rooms, a retail wall, and a lobby finished to a retail standard. That is the level of finish a med spa lives or dies on, and it is what we build.
A med spa is two buildings in one
The front of house is retail: a lobby that photographs well, product display, and finishes your clients read as quality before anyone touches a treatment table. The back of house is clinical: treatment rooms with plumbing and lighting placed for services, laundry and sterilization support, and mechanical systems quiet enough for a treatment in progress. A builder who only does retail misses the clinical half; a builder who only does clinics misses the finish standard. Our ground-up work covers both, in one accountable build.
Treatment rooms and finishes
Treatment rooms are planned around your service menu — the number of rooms, where water and drains land, dimmable lighting, and sound separation between rooms. Finishes are selected early and ordered on the construction schedule, because in a med spa the finishes are not decoration at the end of the job; they are a long-lead part of it. The lobby, retail wall, and client-facing spaces get the same sequencing discipline as the structure.
The build, in ten months
The New Braunfels build ran: sitework and pad, foundation, steel structure in twenty-four days from a formed foundation, envelope and stucco, then interior build-out and finishes — keys turned over ten months after groundbreaking. Every ground-up project differs, but the pattern holds: complete drawings, early procurement, and decisions made on schedule are what a timeline is made of.
Questions we hear
Do most med spas build ground-up or build out? Most build out inside existing retail space. Ground-up makes sense when you own the site, want the building as an asset, or cannot find space that fits your program. We build ground-up — and we will tell you honestly when a build-out serves you better.
How long does a ground-up med spa take? Our New Braunfels facility took ten months of construction. Design and permitting come before that; plan the full arc with our timeline guide.
Can you match our brand's finish standard? Yes — finishes and brand standards are designed and procured with you before construction starts, not improvised during it.
